SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT (SBM)
Stakeholders were tapped to help raise the performance of the school in terms of academic and physical development of the learners and the schools.
ATENEO CENTER FOR EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT (ACED)
School Managers and teachers are given continuous training to upgrade them on managerial capabilities in the school in and the class. Funds are provided by the local government unit and the funding partner of the said institution.
MARIKINA CYBER EDUCATION
To meet the challenges in the fast changing environment in education, Information Technology is now being integrated in teaching English, Science and Math. It was piloted at Marikina Elementary School and will be rolled out in all the schools in the division by 2010. A package of I.T. equipment will be provided by the City Government to every public schools in Marikina City by February 2010.
CONCENTRATED LANGUAGE ENCOUNTER (CLE)
This program is a joint undertaking of the Marikina Rotary Club, Rotary International 3800 (Philippines), Rotary International , District 9650 (Austalia), and DepEd-Marikina City. It is a three year project for Grades one and two pupils (SY 2007-2009), Grades three and four pupils (2009-2010) in all elementary schools in the division. The project aims to provide pupils the necessary skills to become proficient in the use of English as language and develop the writing and reading ability of every pupils
LIBRARY HUB
The Division is an implementer of the Library Hub project of the DepED. Books in crate are brought to schools by the city employed library aides.
CORRECTIVE READING PROGRAM
The program’s objective is to improve the reading ability and level of Grade II - VI pupils and 1st year students. Master Teachers in English in their respective schools conducted training as opposite session which lasted for two hours. Module on Activities for Better Reading and Comprehension were used.
